American Ansonia Wallclock. Circa 1885

This clock came from an old farmhouse in Bosley near Macclesfield.

It was sold door to door by Arighi-Bianchi of Macclesfield in 1890.

Arighi-Bianchi are still trading and according to them they have not sold one like this since before 1900.

It has a lovely scroll bottom with inlaid marquetry.

Original dial and movement

In good working order.

Size: 33 x 17.5 x 5 inches.

This clock as can be seen is not perfect, if it was it would be twice what I am asking.

It can be repaired, but I am loath to do this for a number of reasons. 1. It would never look the same as you could never get the same patina. 2. It tells a story and is part of the clocks history, just by looking at it you know exactly what has happened. The damage was done about 80 years ago.

Was £375

Now £300
